Education in 3D
Educating in virtual worlds is not only creating some virtual
buildings and having people running around with their avatar. It needs interaction
and immersive experiences, every object needs to teach something,
the area needs to be one big learning experience.
What does 3DLES offer?

Just before the schools started again the virtyou grid and all it's educational
projects, have been rearranged and improved. A new welcomming area, a
freebie mall, a big sandbox and all educational projects around it.

Prize for Chatterdale
At the seminar of 'Levende talen' (modern languages) in Utrecht (NL)
Digischool 3D won two prizes with their 'virtual language villages'
project. Read more about the projects
Edu example
For the Dutch Digischool we built virtual English and French language villages
on the virtyou grid.
In these villages, students can visit
a number of 'English'
or 'French' shops and have conversations with
other students and shopkeepers to learn how to talk in this language.
Behind these in-world shopkeepers are real people, teachers working at schools or native
speakers somewhere at home. They can be located anywhere in the world,
they only need to log in and use their headsets to talk. How does that work?
